ABOUT REFORM ALLIANCE
REFORM, founded in the wake of the #FreeMeek movement, is committed to transforming probation and parole throughout the United States by changing laws, systems, and culture. The organization is working to replace America’s criminal justice system with a restorative approach that is fair, accountable, and invested in rehabilitation. Our goal is for people to reenter society with dignity, create meaningful pathways to work, and equip them with the tools to succeed all while making families and communities safer and stronger. REFORM Alliance operates as both a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organization, allowing us to drive meaningful criminal justice reform through a combination of charitable initiatives and advocacy efforts.

About the Role
REFORM Alliance is seeking a Senior Manager, Graphic Design to bring the organization's mission to life visually across every platform and touchpoint. This person will be the primary creative hand behind our social presence, website, executive and community-facing materials, and campaign collateral — translating complex policy work and powerful human stories into visuals that are sharp, credible, and built to travel. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You'll be designing social graphics, marketing collateral, webpages, and motion graphics to visually bring the brand to life.

This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to do the work, not just manage it. You'll work closely with the marketing communications, policy and executive team members, collaborating on creative direction and delivering at pace and at high quality.

This role is on the Marketing & Communication team and reports directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications

What You'll Do

Design Work (60%)

  • Design for social. Work in close partnership with the Manager, Digital Creative to produce campaign graphics, templates, and visual content for Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging channels
  • Support website design. Design and update web pages, landing pages, and campaign microsites in line with brand guidelines.
  • Produce marketing collateral. Create one-sheets, year-in-review decks, fact sheets, event materials, and other collateral that make REFORM Alliance's work and impact easy to understand at a glance.
  • Design infographics. Turn research, policy findings, and impact data into clear, compelling visuals for reports, social media, and presentations.

Presentation & Editing (30%)

  • Build presentations. Design decks for board meetings, donor conversations, partner pitches, and press briefings, often under quick turnaround.
  • Create light motion graphics and video edits. Produce simple animations, social cuts, titles, and lower thirds, and support basic video post-production for campaign and social content.
  • Maintain and evolve brand identity. Apply and help evolve REFORM Alliance's visual brand guidelines consistently across all assets.

Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally with some exposure to nonprofit, advocacy, media, or mission-driven organizations.
  • A strong portfolio spanning social media graphics, presentation/deck design, marketing collateral, and brand-consistent design work.
  • Comfort with light motion graphics and basic video post-production (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar); you don't need to be an animator or editor, just capable with simple motion and social-ready edits.
  • Some website design experience, with familiarity in tools like WordPress, or Squarespace.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma, or equivalent design tools.
  • An eye for translating complex or data-heavy information into clear, compelling infographics.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple design requests and deadlines independently.
  • Genuine passion for criminal justice reform and REFORM Alliance's mission. Nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven creative experience is a strong plus, though not required.
