Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Implementation to join our team and work closely with government departments on the successful implementation of legislation supported by REFORM. As an Implementation Senior Manager, you will play a critical role on an exciting new project team to ensure that new laws and regulations are effectively implemented to reform our criminal justice system. The Senior Manager will collaborate with other departments to track the impact of bills, collect data, educate stakeholders, and provide technical support on bills through strategic initiatives. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Director of Implementation to ensure that all legislation passed for REFORM is effectively implemented to achieve maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with government departments and stakeholders to develop implementation plans for new legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, organizers, policy teams, communications & marketing on storytelling of positive impacts of legislation, identifying and correcting implementation issues, and ensuring stakeholders such as community based organizations supporting justice impacted individuals have the tools available to educate communities on legislative changes to parole/ or probation. 
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the impact of legislation on various departments and stakeholders in collaboration with research team.
  • Create clear and actionable project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure successful implementation.
  • Provide guidance and support to government departments in aligning their processes and operations with the new legislation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and challenges that may arise during the implementation process.
  • Foster strong relationships with government officials, communicating regularly to address concerns and provide updates on implementation progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, industry trends, and best practices in implementation management.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public administration, political science, law); advanced degree in law or public policy a plus
  • In-depth experience in research, data collection, legislative analysis, and project management..
  • Experience working for a department of corrections, probation, parole or other similar state agency; experience implementing legislation a plus. state agency that manages 
  • In-depth knowledge of government processes and the legislative landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to navigate complex political environments and manage stakeholders' expectations.
  • Approximately 15%-25% travel required. 
 

Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000
